About Us

Travis Leon (Director and President) and Gabrielle Moser Neira (Director and Treasurer) met back in 2020 with a common goal in mind. They both wanted to help those in need anyway they could. After traveling through Africa and witnessing the poverty firsthand, it was clear that something needed to be done. That's when Empower Malawi Inc. was born.

 

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. In a place where it's hard to find work, unattainable for most to get an education, and where millions of people face hunger every day, we want to do our best to make a difference. Our mission at Empower Malawi is to help empower the people of Malawi through education, sports and by supporting (especially women-owned and operated) small businesses.  If you are interested in sponsoring a child or supporting a local business venture please reach out to us!
